Call for Mutual R&D Project with National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic

Within the scope of Cooperation Protocol in the Fields of Science and Technology signed in 2014 between TÜBİTAK and National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic (NAS KR), mutual research and development (R&D) projects will be supported.

The Call for TÜBİTAK- NAS KR Mutual R&D Project will be open between the dates of 23 February 2015 – 14 October 2015.

The requirements for the proposal and support of mutual R&D project are specified below.

Turkish scientists who would like to propose a mutual R&D project are supposed to agree with researcher(s) working in a Kyrgyz research institution as “project partner”.

While the project partners in Turkey have to submit the required documents to TÜBİTAK after applying on the webpage http://uidb-pbs.tubitak.gov.tr/, Kyrgyz Project partners have to submit the documents to NAS KR simultaneously after filling in the project proposal form. Unilateral applications will not be accepted.

TÜBİTAK and NAS KR will examine and evaluate the project proposals in accordance with their internal procedures. The evaluation will be based on the scientific competence. Aforementioned institutions will inform each other about their decisions about the projects and the projects approved by two of the institutions will come into operation.

Mutual projects will not exceed 2 years and will be applied by the exchange of scientist and information. It is required to indicate the number and duration of study visits in detail within the context of project while filling in the project proposal form.

For the exchange of researchers within the scope of projects, Host Institution meets the accommodation, catering an local transportation expenses while Home Institution meets international transportation expenses. The travel opportunities for scientists and specialists within the scope of mutual R&D projects are as follows:

For Kyrgyz scientists/specialists coming to Turkey:

·         Free accommodation in a university guesthouse or an equivalent place,

·         20 Euro/day (Turkish Lira equivalent)

For Turkish scientists/specialists going to Kyrgyzstan:

·         Free accommodation in a university guesthouse or an equivalent place,

·         10 Euro/day (Kyrgyz Som equivalent)

In bilateral projects, TÜBİTAK may provide research support for Turks besides international travel support.

The researchers who would like to present project proposals to TÜBİTAK have to apply the program numbered 2548 available on the webpage http://uidb-pbs.tubitak.gov.tr/ and submit the required documents to the related unit of TÜBİTAK.
