Polar (Arctic and Antarctic) Science Program Workshop Announcement

A national science program is an indispensable requirement for scientific work in the Antarctic and Arctic regions to serve national interests, to be accepted and sustainable in the international scientific community. As a result of the steps taken in our country especially during the past weeks, the Antarctic Treaty Environment Protocol was accepted in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. In this regard, it is envisaged that our country will be able to get faster way in the Scientific Research Activities that can be performed in the Polar Regions.

In this context, the "Arctic (Antarctic and Antarctic) Scientific Program Workshop" on the establishment of a Polar Science Program in four main titles (Earth Sciences, Physical Sciences, Living Sciences and Humanities) that are accepted globally and that will ensure the highest level of communication with international research teams will be organized. The workshop, which will be open to the participation of all scientists who wish to take part in national studies, aims to discuss and discuss the subheadings and details of the main headings that are foreseen in accordance with the framework world.

The workshop will be organized at Istanbul Technical University Polar Research Application and Research Center and TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center on 12-13 April 2017 at Istanbul Technical University, Ayazağa Campus Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center.
