Assist. Prof. Dr. E. Savaş BAŞÇI, the Head of the Continuing Education Center and English language instructors visited Çankırı Karatekin University International Language Center and Erasmus Office on 18 October 2012. This visit aimed to share ideas and experiences about language teaching and preparation of Erasmus students for their future studies.
Çankırı Karatekin University International Language Center offers courses not only for the academic and administrative staff of the university but also for the general public, young learners, and ongoing and incoming Erasmus students. They offer General English, Spoken English, Academic Writing, and preparation for proficieny exams in English such as KPDS-ÜDS-TOEFL-IELTS. They employ at least four native speakers each year so that they can serve better. On-going Erasmus candidates are supposed to attend an intensive course which prepares them for their study abroad. The center also offers Turkish language courses for the in-coming Erasmus students.
The group visited the Karatekin University President Prof. Dr. Ali İbrahim SAVAŞ. The president told that they are open to share their experiences with Hitit University. Following this visit, the group visited the new campus area and 1.International Rock Salt Orkhon Inscriptions Sculpture Exhibition.
