With the contributions of our university, The Special Sportsmen Turkey Championship in Athleticism and Free Diving Dynamic&Static Apnea Turkey Championchip was held on 26th & 27th May, 2012 in Çorum. The athletics were performed at Dr. Turhan Kılıçcıoğlu Stadium and the swimming meets were performed at The Indoor Olympic Swimming Pool.
The event aims to integrate the people who need special education into society and foster mutual interaction. Hosting this even for the first time, Dr. Turhan Kılıçcıoğlu Stadium has done the honors for 166 sportmen from 40 provinces. Sportsmen from Çorum has ben awarded with one gold, one silver and two bronze medals. Hitit University dance group impressed the audience with their tango show.
