Cooperation with the University of Bologna, Italy

A cooperation and Project agreement has been signed with the University of Bologna, Italy. The negotiations with the Biblioteca Universitaria di Bologna has brought to a successful conclusion. According to the agreement, at the end of the project titled “Between Ottoman Pashas and Luigi Ferdinandi Marsili: Letters and Contracts”, a book will be published in Turkish, Italian and English. This book will be prepared by Hitit University President Prof. Dr. Reha Metin ALKAN, Prof. Dr. Mehmet DEMİRYÜREK, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Meral DEMİRYÜREK, the Head of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature, and Dr. Biancastella ANTONINO, Dr. Franco PASTI, Prof.  Dr. Raffaella GHERARDI and  Res. Assist. Güner DOĞAN from Biblioteca Universitaria di Bologna.  The topic of this project is European scientist, diplomat and cartographer Ferdinandi MARSİLİ, who lived between 17th and 18th centuries. His works on Ottoman Empire still maintain their importance. This international project will be the basis of the future cooperation and joint projects between Hitit University and the University of Bologna.

During their visit, President Prof. Dr. Reha Metin ALKAN, Assist. Prof. Dr. Nihan KAYA, assistant to president, Prof. Dr. Mehmet DEMİRYÜREK, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Meral DEMİRYÜREK, Assist. Prof. Dr. Nihan KAYA and Generel Secreteriat Erdal KANIK visited Prof. Dr. Ivano DİONİGİ, the president of Bologna University, and Prof. Dr. Carla SALVATERRA, assistant to president. President Prof. Dr. Reha Metin ALKAN gave information about Çorum, Hitit University and ERASMUS studies at our university.  Prof. Dr. Carla SALVATERRA gave information about the University of Bologna and stated that proposals regarding ERASMUS and other cooperation aggrements would be considered earnestly. The authorities of the University of Bologna have been invited to our university.
