Under the leadership of Presidentship Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency,11 Turkish universities including the Hitit University have signed a bilateral cooperation agreement with the University of Omar Al-Mukhtar. Having 17 faculties, University of Omar Al-Mukhtar is the oldest and the biggest university of Libya.
Apart from academic cooperation and joint projects, this agreement includes student and academic staff mobility, sharing information and organizing a variety of scientific and cultural events such as conferences, seminars and workshops.
