Handover Ceremony was held in Osmancık Ömer Derindere Vocational School. Assist. Prof. Dr. Oğuzhan Kıvrak who had been the Director of Osmancık Ömer Derindere Vocational School since 2008 was succeeded by Assist. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Tolga Çırak in the handover ceremony in July, 2014.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Oğuzhan Kıvrak expressed his happiness and pride at working in Osmancık Ömer Derindere Vocational School and Osmancık is an ideal district for the students. He emphasized that businessman Ömer Derindere contributed greatly to our Vocational School and wished success to the Director of Osmancık Ömer Derindere Vocational School Assist. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Tolga Çırak.
Director of Osmancık Ömer Derindere Vocational School Assist. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Tolga Çırak stated that they aim to host more students and carry out successful projects due to increasing number of departments and student dormitory under construction. He expressed his thanks to charitable businessmen and Assist. Prof. Dr. Oğuzhan Kıvrak for their valuable contributions.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan informed that universities are supposed to participate the social life in all aspects and contribute to the social and economic development of their cities and regions.
He emphasized that having started with 2 departments and 40 students, Osmancık Ömer Derindere Vocational School has 7 departments and approximately 500 students now and it will make a great deal of contribution to Osmancık due to the developments such as the student dormitory which will be opened in a short period of time.
Prof. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan expressed his thanks to Ömer Derindere and other charitable businessmen who have contributed to Osmancık Ömer Derindere Vocational School.
Ömer Derindere stated that he places a great importance to education as all the problems stem from lack of education. He shared his experiences giving varous instances from his life.
During the ceremony, Assist. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Tolga Çırak presented a plaquette to Assist. Prof. Dr. Oğuzhan Kıvrak for his great efforts and our Rector Prof. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan presented a plaquette to Ömer Derindere for his valuable contributions to our university.
Furthermore, the certificates of appreciation were presented those who contributed to Osmancık Ömer Derindere Vocational School.
