The conference “Values Education in Community” was held on Monday, November 13, 2014 in Turgut Özal Conference Hall with the collaboration of our university and Ensar Foundation Çorum Branch.
Prof. Dr. Halis Ayhan as speaker, İstanbul Parliamentarian Feyzullah Kıyıklık, our Rector Prof. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan, academic staff and students of our university, and public attended the event.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Alkan made the opening speech of the conference expressing his thanks to İstanbul Parliamentarian Feyzullah Kıyıklık for his participation and support. He emphasized that our university collaborate with non-governmental organizations and organize events and expressed his happiness as the city and the university share a common purpose.
Head of Ensar Foundation Çorum Branch Halil İbrahim Aşgın stated that Ensar Foundation aims to contribute to enriching moral dynamics and scientific, intellectual, ethic development of our people.
Prof. Dr. Halis Ayhan informed that values Education enables us to know ourselves and to be aware of afterlife. He stated that our history, language, literature, fine arts and cultural heritage constitute our values and having these values creates virtuous and healthy social relations.
After question and answer part, İstanbul Parliamentarian Feyzullah Kıyıklık, our Rector Prof.Dr.Reha Metin Alkan, Head of Ensar Foundation Çorum Branch Halil İbrahim Aşgın and Principal of Imam Hatip High School manager Hüseyin Kır presented plaquette to Prof. Dr. Halis Ayhan and the conference is ended.
