Our Rector Prof. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan visits Mehmet Sayan, Çorum President of the Chamber of Agriculture. Doç. Dr. Abdurrahman Asan, faculty member in the department of Chemical Engineering in Faculty of Engineering accompanies him.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Reha Metin says “ It is necessary for farmers to act consciously for stronger and modern production. We need to industrialize not only in product but also in opinion. It is important to combine farmers’ cut-and-dried experience with scientific criteria. Soil test is the biggest problem for farmers and getting efficient products from the ground is based on these tests. Industrial demands in this field can be met in Central Laboratory in our university.”
Stating that the university wants to serve for Çorum and people living in Çorum, Rector Prof. Dr. Alkan says “We attach great importance to be intertwined with Çorum. Rather than being an institution to educate students, we would like to be an institution which cooperates with all public and private sectors and civil society organizations.” Our Rector Prof. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan thanks to all stakeholders who contribute to development of our university after he says that they have been working with all their stakeholders coordinately since they start to work and the university is getting tangible results as a result of these works.
Mehmet Sayan, Çorum President of the Chamber of Agriculture gives information about the works to make farmers in Çorum economically stronger and says the university avails people from all strata. Sayan thanks to Rector Prof. Dr. Alkan for the visit and the valuable works he does and says “ l myself take soil tests to Central Laboratory in the university and thanks to this laboratory we are able to make more efficient work.”
