‘19th Finance Symposium’ hosted by our University with the collaboration with Finance Science Platform has started.
Head of Capital Markets Board (CMB) Dr. Vahdettin Ertaş, Çorum MP Lütfiye İlksen Ceritoğlu Kurt, Çorum Deputy Mayor Zeki Gül, our Rector Prof. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan, Vice President of Turkish Republic Central Bank Necati Şahin, General Manager of Albaraka Turk Participation Bank Dr. Fahrettin Yahşi, General Manager of Ziraat Participation Bank Osman Arslan, Vice General Manager of Halk Bank Hasan Ünal, Head of Chamber of Commerce and Industry Çetin Başaranhıncal, bureaucrat and executives of our city, civil society organization heads and representatives, industrialists and businessmen, academic and administrative staff and students of our university attended the symposium which has been organized for 18 years and regarded as the most prestigious event of finance world.
After a moment of silence and Turkish National Anthem, Head of Symposium Regulatory Board – Head of Banking and Finance Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selçuk Kendirli, Head of Finance Science Platform Prof. Dr. Metin Kamil Ercan, our Rector Prof. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan and Çorum MP Lütfiye İlksen Ceritoğlu Kurt made their opening speeches.
Expressing his gratitude for hosting 19th Finance Symposium gathering scientists from the field of Finance and representatives from reel sector, Head of Symposium Regulatory Board – Head of Banking and Finance Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selçuk Kendirli gave detailed information on the symposium and thanked those who contributed and sponsors.
Head of Finance Science Platform Prof. Dr. Metin Kamil Ercan said, “We have made 18 syposium so far. We all know that organizing a symposium is difficult. However, the results are pleasing. This term, Hitit University will experience the same.’ Prof. Dr. Ercan added, ‘We owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to all the organizers of the symposium but mostly to Prof. Dr. Cevat Sarıkamış, the founder of Finance Science Platform.’
Expressing that it is a great honor to host such an important symposium, Rector Prof. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan stated, ‘Any interaction in the world now affects everyone from the smallest country to the biggest one. Understanding the global economy and redressing a balance accordingly is of vital importance. As a university, we are supposed to have such a view point. The functions of the universities are not only regarded as conducting educational studies or research any more, but integrating with their cities, regions as well as sharing the knowledge they have with every stakeholder of the society.’ Emphasizing that he believes the symposium will make great contributions to the reel sector and finance sector, our Rector Prof. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan thanked those contributed to the symposium.
Çorum MP Lütfiye İlksen Ceritoğlu Kurt said, ‘We are proud to host you in our city for 19th Finance Symposium. Your studies will lead us in Turkish Grand National Assembly. For a peaceful Turkey, we need stable developing economy; therefore, we give importance to your studies.’
55 proceedings will be presented in 14 diferrent sessions by 107 scientists from 49 universities and 4 institutions for two days in 19th Finance Symposium.
