A new project was carried out within the framework of university-industry cooperations protocol signed between our university and Çorum Chamber of Commerce and Industry. 7 vehicle engines were submitted to our university to be used in the laboratory of Automotive Technologies Department in Hitit University Vocational School of Technical Sciences with the supports of Sadık Tuncel.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan, Head of Çorum Chamber of Commerce Çetin Başaranhıncal and Sadık Tuncel visited the laboratory of Automotive Technologies Department in Vocational School of Technical Sciences. During the visit hosted by Prof. Dr. Menderes Suiçmez the Head of Vocational School of Technical Sciences, academicians from departments gave information about the laboratory.
Stating that it was an important contribution for the Automotive Technologies Department, our Rector Prof. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan said, ‘Our students from the Department of Automotive Technologies will have the opportunity to get applied training due to the engines provided by chamber of commerce and Sadık Tuncel.’
Çetin Başaranhıncal, Head of Çorum Chamber of Commerce stated, ‘As employers, we comprehend lack of practical training when we employ someone graduated from any university. The students of this department will have the opportunity to get practical training. So, they will graduate as equipped and experienced individuals, qualified staff as well.’
Başaranhıncal thanked to Sadık Tuncel who made contributions for taking the engines and our Rector Prof. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan who shared the same enthusiasm.
