Our University Bring in Something New

Our university has brought in something new with Boğazköy Summer School Project which is one of the partners of Hitit Civilization Application and Research Center.

By courtesy of Ministry of Culture - General Directorate of Cultural Assets and Museums and within the context of Boğazköy/Hattuşa Ruins Excavations, Boğazköy Summer School Project has been carried out between the dates of 27-31 July, 2015 with the collaboration of Corum Museum, the German Archaeological Institute, Hitit University Hitit Civilization Application and Research Center, University of Istanbul and Germany's University of Würzburg Julius Maximilianus (Altorientalis Institute).

The project provides Turkish and international students together with the experts and museum professionals to make a scientific study on “Hititçe (Hitit language)” which is a prehistoric language by utilizing the original documents for the first time in the world.

Aforementioned international project also aims to train qualified staff and professionals to work in the field Hittitology, contribute to its employment, see the works close in excavation for the students of Archeology. At the same time, Hititology students has got the experience of working on a limited number of artifacts like cuneiform tablets / tablet piece, inscribed  seal / stamp printing / rock monument.
