A cooperation protocol that includes supporting Turkish Museum of Aquatic Creatures, educational and scientific fields was signed between our University and Süleyman Demirel University.

Our university Rector Prof. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan, Süleyman Demirel University Rector Prof. Dr. İlker Hüseyin Çarıkçı, teaching staff from our university Asst. Prof. Ali Salur and Asst. Prof. Mustafa Bilgin, Head of Water Institute of Süleyman Demirel University Assoc. Prof. Mehmet Beyhan and Coordinator of Turkish Museum of Aquatic Creatures Assoc. Prof. Hasan Kalyoncu attended the signature ceremony.

Within the scope of the protocol which is the first in the field, it is aimed to send the living samples acquired in the scientific projects conducted within our university in wetlands to Turkish Museum of Aquatic Creatures in Süleyman Demirel University, store and exhibit them in the museum.

In addition to the fact that the first samples of the museum inventory was donated by our university, the lack of information on Turkish aquatic fauna and flora increases the importance of studies and cooperations in the field.

Saying, ‘Leading the support to Turkish Museum of Aquatic Creatures within this useful study is so pleasing for Hitit University.’, Rector Prof. Dr. Alkan stated that the cooperations will strengthen both universities.

Rector Prof. Dr. Alkan visited Experimental and Observational Student Research and Application Center and Geothermal Energy, Groundwater and Mineral Resources Research and Application Center of Süleyman Demirel University.
