Visiting Hitit University Scientific and Technical Research Center (HÜBTÜAM) which entered service last year, our Rector Prof. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan took information about the current process and works in the laboratory.
The director of the HÜBTÜAM Assoc. Prof. Dr. İrfan Kurtbaş made presentation about the devices, the functioning and the experiments in HÜBTÜAM and gave information about the the work planned to be carried forward.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Alkan, “We use our laboratory for our own construction projects”
Stating that our laboratory is used in our own construction and projects, our Rector Prof. Dr. Alkan says “In this context, many devices can be used. For example, our asphalt (wear) tests. Next year, asphalt materials which are prepared as a result of the asphalt tests carried out in Floor and Transportation Laboratory will be used in building materials to be used in the upper structure of our way in North Campus. At the same time, according to the tests which are used in increasing the strength of concrete used in our university and according to the values which are taken from the results of the tests, we shape the materials used in our buildings on construction.”
“Soil Analysis Laboratory studies continue very intensively”
The Soil Analysis Laboratory which came into service a few months ago continues to work very intensively. This laboratory is an important bridge in bringing together the agricultural sector and Çorum. Additionally, the collaboration of our university and agricultural sector.
Prof. Dr. Alkan “We will create awareness in Turkey on Forensic Sciences whose modelling studies are currently ongoing.”
