“HİTÜ Children’s University” has started in our university which has the mission of “providing scientific, cultural, social and economic contribution to the province and the region with the presence of the university” in addition to works in education and research.
40 students who have just finished 5th, 6th, 7th degree in the secondary school within the scope of Hitit Children’s University will perform various activities in some of our university units and Çorum Museum with our university academic staff.
Making an opening speech, our university vice-rector Prof. Dr. Nurcan Baykam says to participant students “Welcome to HİTÜ Children’s University 2016 Summer Term Activities. We are happy to host you in our university units with the activities started today. Children’s University is a program which provides you applied scientific study and allows you to spend your holiday period in a pleasant and efficient manner. The activities are Archaeology Workshop, Journey to the World of Microbes, Journey to Nano World, Scratch Workshop, Robots now in our lives, DNA School, Journey to the World of Sound-I'm doing my music, Marbling Workshop and Lifetime Sports which will be held in Hitit University units and laboratories.
You will be trained by our university specialist academicians and participate in the activities. With the course programs they have prepared, the academicians will share their knowledge and experiments which they are sure that you will like. We will perform activities not only in the scientific field but also in music, art, sports all together. We will learn with the enjoy in holiday term. I wish fruitful, enjoyful and full of memories HİTÜ Children’s University program.”
