Our Rector Prof. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan visited Çorum Deputy and Parliamentary Administrative Officer Salim Uslu.
During the visit which organization works about 12th World Universities Wrestling Championship held in Çorum very soon were discussed, our Rector Prof. Dr. Alkan said we were ready for the event and in a great effort to be successful in this organization which would provide benefit highly to our province and university.
Rector Prof. Dr. Alkan, “We will host an important event coordinated in a good way with the hard work that make our university and the support it takes. Because of the support you have given to this successful event, I thank you personally and on behalf of our university. Also, I proudly would like to state that the number of our students will exceed 17 000 in 2016/2017 Academic Year and we will be happy to see you in the opening ceremony of 2016/2017 Academic Year.”
Indicating satisfaction with the visit, Çorum Deputy and Parliamentary Administrative Officer Salim Uslu said that he was ready to give any kind of support if possible herein after also as so far to our university which was growing with each passing day and wished success for the championship.
At the same time, Salim Uslu stated that it was really important for our province to host an international event in which many athletes would participate from all over the world by the guarantorship of our government. He also emphasized that helding this international event in Çorum was a concrete indicator of starting to be a world university.
