Our university aiming to contribute the province and region in which we are in the first place and our country and all humanity afterwards has developed in quality and quantity within a short time and has come a long way and it continues to make firsts in the health field as it is in almost every area.
Within this framework, our Medicine Faculty had a successful operation on a patient who applied to our Ear, Nose and Throat Polyclinic and a benign tumor, called "pleomorphic adenoma", was detected under the right ear of hers.
With a team including University Faculty of Medicine Department of Surgical Medical Sciences Department of Otorhinolaryngology Department Prof. Dr. Müge Özcan and Asst. Assoc. Dr. Doğan Atan, the patient taken under an operation named "parotidectomy" recovered his health after successful operation.
Our Rector Dr. Alkan's Visits
Our Rector Dr. Reha Metin Alkan visited the patient who has achieved the health with the successful operation in our hospital and expressed his good wishes for her.
He says “Our university is signing different achievements every day with the growth and development that we have registered in every field from day to day. With the momentum captured in our university, it will contribute to our country and even more importantly to humanity. The operation was first carried out in our province and in our region. It is a great achievement that such operations are performed in our city.
Following the signing of the joint use agreement with the Ministry of Health, numerous operations and treatments, many of which are first in almost every branch have been carried out by our physicians in our hospital together with our faculty members specializing in medicine. Now, we have almost 100 academicians in Medicine Faculty. The works done made everyone loving the city proud.”
