Within HİTİTSEM (Hitit University Continuing Education Application and Research Center) in our university, 3 international language teachers began their active duty to work full-time between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2017.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan expressed his content to work with Elise S. Zevitz, Paige C. Dabney and Abrar Ahmed and they stated they would be glad to work in Hitit University by expressing the content of interest on them from their first connection with the university to their arrival.
HİTİTSEM Director Asst. Prof. Dr. Eşref Savaş Başcı said that 3 international instructors having TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate valid throughout the world and approved by CoHE would take part in many training in HİTİTSEM. He also said that there were many applications to work in our university, these teachers were determined after examining their CVs and online interview and these procedures including examination and official writings lasted almost 6 months.
The trainings which starts in HİTİTSEM with new educators:
English speaking classes,
General English training,
Training of Erasmus + students,
Trainings of the departments accredited in Faculty of Engineering,
Article proofreading,
Preparation for TOEFL and IELTS exams,
Academic article writing training.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Alkan says “Now, we have 4 educators in HİTİTSEM and we have also 13 international academicians within our university. This is a good step to improve language skills of our students and academic staff. I thank Asst. Prof. Dr. Eşref Savaş Başcı and the educators.”
