As Hitit University, we are continuing our efforts with all our efforts to combat gender inequality which is still an important problem in our country as it is in the world knowing that we are going to make a sound social analysis in the social sense and to know our society well, besides our efforts to give a qualified education and to climb up the top of the world every day in the academic sense. According to the World Economic Forum Gender Equality Index and the UN Gender Index, gender inequality in Turkey is still continuing despite partial improvements in many areas such as education, economy, health and employment.
Our university, which is trying to keep the curriculum of our education units up to date and especially to diversify the elective courses, decided to add "Gender Equality" to our curriculum. The addition of our units to the curriculum of this course is of great importance to create a climate and awareness sensitive to gender equality. It is clear that the lesson of gender equality policies, which will explore the causes and consequences of gender inequality, will see an important function through our 19,000 students.
