In order to train qualified employees who are more productive, open to innovations and developments in this rapidly developing sector and contribute to the development of economical economy, the proposal of our university was deemed appropriate to open the Department of Veterinary Medicine, Laborant and Veterinary Health Program in the province of Alaca with the Decision of Higher Education Executive Board dated 01.10.2014. It was thought that this program would start teaching activities rapidly and firstly it was tried to supply the number of instructors who are obligatory for this program. Shortly after the required number of qualified lecturers have been provided and the necessary infrastructure has been created, the student request we made to CoHE this year was accepted at the General Assembly meeting of Higher Education dated 20.04.2017. According to this, 40 students will be enrolled this year (2017-2018 academic year) in our Laborant and Veterinary Health Program in Alaca.
Today, we have 325 students in our Alaca Avni Steel Vocational High School, where 18 teaching staff members are employed. Physically, there are 6 classrooms, Computer Laboratory, Food Technology Laboratory, Electronic Communication Technology Laboratory, Welding Technology Laboratory, Civil Defense and Firefighting Laboratory, conference hall, meeting room, library, cafeteria and canteen. Currently, apart from the Laborant and Veterinary Health Program, Alaca Avni Çelik Vocational High School is continuing student recruitment and education activities in the following four programs:
These and other employment-focused, student-centered departments and programs are waiting for students to enter university exams this year and we wish them to succeed in their exams.
