Alternative Energy Systems Research and Application Center Directive of our University was promulgated in Official Gazette dated 20 June 2017 and numbered 30102.
Aims of Alternative Energy Systems Research and Application Center
a) Carrying on researches on alternative energy sources as solar energy, wind energy, geothermal energy, biomass energy, hydraulic energy; developing projects, surveying and monitoring activities,
b) Conducting scientific researches and applications in the field of alternative energy within the framework of projects regarding the use of alternative energy resources and enhancing energy efficiency,
c) Detecting the potential of alternative energy resources locally and throughout the country; promoting alternative and sustainable energy generation and usage,
ç) Performing local, national and international activities on such issues as making model, strategy, plan, and project studies.
Activity Fields of the Center:
a) Creating national and international awareness through researches on alternative energy resources decelerating global climate change,
b) Carrying out studies to bring available alternative energy technologies to our country,
c) Doing researches on energy and environment relations to prevent environmental pollution caused by energy usage,
ç) Conducting projects to provide sustainable development with native and clean energy resources in our country,
d) Organizing national and international courses, seminars, conferences, congresses, and such meetings to express the importance of alternative energy systems,
e) Planning and performing researches needed by public and private institutions about the potentials, usage and efficiency of alternative energy resources of our country,
f) Collaborating with other centers and universities, conducting mutual studies, exchanging scientific/technical knowledge and service,
g) Cooperating with developed research centers in European Union; exchanging staff, knowledge and experience,
ğ) Searching alternative energy resources around Çorum and coordinating studies for benefiting from these resources,
h) Collaborating with related ministry and public institutions on alternative energy applications.
