TUBITAK Success of HITÜ Students

Finishing project entitled "Investigation of Mechanical Properties of Temperatures in Austroperated Spherical Graphite Cast Iron Articles" prepared by Assoc. Prof. Cengiz Baykasoğlu' academic advisory and Hitit University Faculty of Engineering Department of Mechanical Engineering senior students Kaya Ali Keçeli, Refik Kuyrukcu and Halil Gök is entitled to receive support within the scope of TUBITAK 2209 / B - Industry Focused Undergraduate Thesis Support Program.

The project will investigate in detail the effects on the internal structure and mechanical properties of the heat in austempered spheroidal graphite cast iron material with lighter weight, lower manufacturing cost and many superior mechanical properties compared to steel casting materials. It is envisaged that the project outputs will lead the designers to use the parts manufactured from these materials especially in high-temperature applications and contribute to the more effective use of these materials in the defense industry of our country.

Hitit University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering, emphasizing that the development, characterization, and applications of advanced technology materials are one of the priority areas to be developed in our country, Dr. Cengiz Baykasoğlu stated that it is very important for the students to gain national consciousness in the production of national strategic products in the country with the national opportunities and to grow in the university-industry cooperation and project culture while considering the needs of the country's industry and the interests of the country while still at the undergraduate level.

We congratulate our students and our faculty members, and we wish the continuation of success.
