Hitit University 3 + 1 On-The-Job Training Model
In line with 2023, 2053 and 2071 Vocational Training Vision, "3 + 1 Workplace Application Training Model" introductory meeting was held at the Ethem Erkoç Conference Hall.
Members of the AK Party, Çorum Deputies; Central Decision and Board Member Ahmet Sami Ceylan, Internal Affairs Commission Member Lawyer Oğuzhan Kaya and Erol Kavuncu, Member of the Commission on Human Rights Investigation, Dr. Reha Metin Alkan, President of Bar Association Lawyer Altan Akpınar, Deputy Governor Recep Yüksel, Chairman of Çorum Chamber of Commerce and Industry Çetin Başaranhıncal, President of ÇESOB Recep Gür, representatives of public institutions in our province, representatives of NGOs, industrialists and businessmen and teaching staff participated in the meeting.
In the opening speech of the program, our rector Prof.Dr. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan stated that Vocational High Schools are one of the most important arguments of the future and underlined that they have been making efforts to establish the physical infrastructure and academic staff of Vocational Schools for 7 years. Now, the Rector said that the importance of MYOs in the future is being voiced in every platform.
Evaluating 3 + 1 Workplace Application Training Model, our Rector. Dr. Alkan said the business community cannot find staff, the student cannot find a job. Here is the problem. We don't understand the industrialist, they don't understand us. The method of this is the model. Thanks to this model, the student will spend three semesters of the four semesters in the last semester of the semester. We currently have 8,000 students in the Vocational School. We will employ these 8 thousand students in a way that it is the 3 + 1 Workplace Application Training Model. The students were expected to meet three semesters at the university and one at the point of employment.
Our Rector stated that a better understanding of the approaches and perceptions of students in generation Z is of great importance. Dr. Alkan said that if we wanted to make a difference, this should be done not as physical but as education. With self-educated, well-interpreted people, goals can be reached. In the next 20 years, 60% of children will work in occupations that we do not know. A model with 3 + 1 model support is a great achievement for us to make a model that the universities of the foundation are trying to implement as a new university.
Speaking at the meeting, ÇTSO Board Chairman Çetin Başaranhıncal said that no longer need to deal with generations. We have a big dilemma here. Our ancestors, the eloquence of the elders said in the past is criticized. It was actually inventing. Countries around the world invented this time you are falling behind. We have to compete in these inventions.
Başaranhıncal pointed out that as of August, there are 18 thousand 600 job seekers in Çorum, the finance problem of the business world may be in the first place. But the need for qualified staff is chronic. This is our first priority. The business world is looking for some 18 thousand 600 people looking for work. We're not looking for a hired employee. We're looking for brains. We put our hands on this project point. We'il fix it. We're not going to go over, we're gonna coordinate. Çorum is the capital of SME. If the students cannot adapt to the company they go to, we can change his place. In this way, we can focus on the future.
