Hittite University North Campus Rectorship Building, which has been serving so far in our University Senate Hall of our university due to the increase in the number of faculties, institutes, colleges and vocational schools in the physical phase of insufficient progress on the stage; a new Senate Hall was built in a different place in the same building as a result of the work initiated recently. Our new Senate Hall called "Erol Olçok Senate Hall" was opened with the participation of Çorum Governor Mr. Mustafa Çiftçi, Mayor of Çorum Dr. Halil İbrahim Aşgın and Rector of Istanbul Technical University, Mehmet Karaca opened.
Following the opening of the Senate Hall, the graduates of Istanbul Technical University (ITU), one of the most established universities of our country, came together. Our Rector attended the meeting where ITU graduates from our university and our city came together. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan wishes that the new Senate Hall will be beneficial and he believes that our Senate, which is the top decision mechanism of our university, will make a good contribution to the world of science in the direction of the interests of our country and our nation as it has been before. Our Rector talked about the numerical data revealing the development of the Hittite University and stated that our University has reached the level of the Antarctica Project under the auspices of our President, now exceeding the borders of the country and conducting research together with ITU.
Mayor Dr. Halil İbrahim Aşgın said that he was working at this university and he expressed his happiness that the university is in a good place.
Mustafa Çiftçi, the Governor of Çorum stated that the university is a very important value for our city and stated that the level of the studies and the level reached in the University was satisfactory.
"ITU has provided significant contributions to the scientific world and our country." Dr. Mehmet Karaca stated that ITU is open to all kinds of academic and scientific cooperation with Hitit University and Çorum in order to benefit from all the facilities it has.
The meeting continued with the mutual conversations of the ITU graduate participants on the current situation and what they can do next.
