The Department of Coaching Education Held a Meeting with External Stakeholders


The Department of Coaching Education at the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Hitit University, held a meeting with external stakeholders to update the programme’s educational objectives and learning outcomes.

The meeting, which took place on 12 May 2026 at the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, was organised at the invitation of Prof. Dr Erkan Demirkan, Head of the Department of Coaching Education. The meeting was attended by Gürsel Gürbüz (Head of the Sports Activities Department at the Çorum Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports), Nadir Solak (Director of Youth and Sports Services at Çorum Municipality), Yasin Aksoy (Chairman of the Çorum Branch of the Turkish Football Coaches Association) and Burhan Demigan (Chairman of the Çorum Atahan Equestrian Sports Club). 

During the meeting, the current Programme Objectives and Programme Outcomes of the Coaching Education Department were evaluated in line with sectoral needs, coaching practices, graduate competencies, areas of application, field experience and employment expectations.

In line with the views and recommendations of external stakeholder representatives, discussions focused on supporting students’ professional practice and field experience, strengthening collaboration with the industry, and developing programme outcomes to meet current needs.

Following the evaluations, it was decided that the draft text prepared for the updating of the Programme Educational Objectives and Programme Outcomes was appropriate and should be recommended to the Head of the Coaching Education Department in the form presented in the annex.

The Coaching Education Department continues its efforts to continuously improve its teaching and learning activities in line with quality assurance processes and stakeholder participation.
