“15 July: Türkiye, the Name of Victory” Themed Photo Exhibition Held at Our Faculty
A photo exhibition titled “15 July: Türkiye, the Name of Victory” was organized at our Faculty.
Delivering the opening speech of the exhibition, our Dean, Prof. Dr. Zekeriya Işık, provided information about the failed coup and occupation attempt of 15 July. He stated that the dark coup and occupation attempt orchestrated by the FETÖ terrorist organization through international collaborations was ultimately defeated thanks to the collective wisdom, determination, perseverance, and sacrifices of the Turkish nation. He emphasized that the nation stood firmly in defense of its democratic will, state, future, and independence, and that the darkness of the night of 15 July gave way to a brighter future through the sacrifices of the martyrs.
Prof. Dr. Işık concluded his remarks by expressing gratitude and respect for all martyrs and veterans who sacrificed their lives for the homeland and its sacred values, both during the events of 15 July and throughout the nation’s history. He noted that the exhibition was opened and shared with students before the summer break in order to honor their memory and preserve their legacy.
Following the opening speech, the exhibition area was toured by faculty members and students together with the Dean.
