Within the scope of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, our faculty members, administrative staff, and students first visited the grave of Ali Karslı, one of the martyrs of July 15, at Hıdırlık Cemetery, followed by a visit to the Çorum Martyrs’ Cemetery. During the visits, the martyrs were honored with respect, mercy, and gratitude, accompanied by Qur’an recitations and prayers.
At the Çorum Martyrs’ Cemetery, our delegation joined Provincial Director of National Education Cemil Çağlar, Principal of Şehit Osman Arslan Anatolian Imam Hatip High School Şahin Çalışkanoğlu, and students from the Imam Hatip High School to collectively carry out the commemoration program.
Subsequently, our students, together with Head of the Department of History Prof. Dr. Zekeriya Işık, visited the Association of War Veterans and participated in the program “Young People Meet Our Veterans”. In this meaningful program, veterans shared their memories and reflections on national and spiritual values. The event concluded with expressions of gratitude and the presentation of flowers to the veterans.
