İŞKUR Youth Program Starts

The “İŞKUR Youth Program,” which has been implemented through cooperation between the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR) and our University in order to increase the employability of university students and enable them to gain knowledge, skills, and experience, will be launched. In the 2025–2026 Academic Year, a total of 587 students will benefit from the İŞKUR Youth Program. Within the scope of the program, students will work full-time on specific days of the week in academic and administrative units of Hitit University. The program will start on Monday, November 03, 2025, and will end on Friday, June 26, 2026.

Application Requirements

The application and participation conditions for the program are as follows:

  • To be a citizen of the Republic of Türkiye,
  • To be registered with İŞKUR,
  • To be at least 18 years old,
  • To be an associate, undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral student at Hitit University and not have an inactive or suspended enrollment status,
  • Not to receive an old-age (retirement) or disability pension (those receiving incapacity or survivor’s pension may benefit),
  • Not to be insured under Article 4 of Law No. 5510 within the last one month prior to the application date and program start date (if selected),
  • Not to have been employed by Hitit University or its affiliated institutions within one year prior to the program request date and up to the actual start date of the program,
  • Not to be insured under Article 5 (short-term insurance) of Law No. 5510 during application, start, and program continuation,
  • According to the Address Registration System (AKS), the total monthly income of individuals living at the same address must not exceed three times the net minimum wage (this condition does not apply to those living in dormitories, shelters, or similar collective living spaces),
  • Not to benefit from active labor programs or unemployment insurance at the time of application and program start (not receiving unemployment benefits).

Working Areas

Students accepted into the program may work in the following areas within academic and administrative units of Hitit University:

  • Supporting Sustainable Campus Activities
  • Supporting Campus Infrastructure and Maintenance Activities
  • Supporting Social and Cultural Activities
  • Supporting Academic and Administrative Activities
  • Supporting Community Service and Collaboration Activities
  • Supporting Student Development and Adaptation Activities
  • Supporting Digital Transformation and Innovation Activities
  • Supporting Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Activities

Working Duration and Rights

The program will be implemented for a maximum of 3 days per week. The daily working duration is 7.5 hours, and partial work is not allowed. Working days will be determined under the supervision of the Hitit University Career and Alumni Office. A participant may benefit from the program for a maximum of 140 actual days in total. Students who previously participated in the program during the Spring Semester of the 2024–2025 Academic Year may continue working for the remaining eligible days, up to a total of 140 days.

Participants will receive a daily net payment of 1,083.00 TL from İŞKUR for each day they attend the program. In addition, general health insurance and occupational accident insurance will be covered by İŞKUR based on participation days (this does not include retirement-related insurance contributions).

Applications and Process

Applications will be accepted between October 13–17, 2025 through one of the following methods. Students eligible for the program will be selected through a lottery draw conducted by a notary public from valid applications. The draw will take place on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 09:30 at the Hitit University North Campus, Faculty of Theology, Fuat Sezgin Conference Hall. Students who apply may attend the draw.

Students experiencing issues may seek assistance from İŞKUR Çorum Provincial Directorate staff. Applications made by students who do not meet the eligibility requirements may still be system-accepted, but will be cancelled if later found ineligible.
