Panel on “Mehmet Akif as a Patriot and Poet” Held

A panel titled “Mehmet Akif as a Patriot and Poet” was held at our faculty. The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Zekeriya Işık, along with academic staff and students.

During the panel, Prof. Dr. Özer Şenödeyici focused on the literary identity of Mehmet Akif Ersoy, while Dr. Lecturer Canan Uğurdağ provided insights into his biography. The discussions highlighted Akif’s powerful poetic character, his understanding of patriotism, and the roles and responsibilities he undertook during a critical period in the nation’s history.

At the end of the panel, certificates of appreciation were presented to the participants by Prof. Dr. Zekeriya Işık. The event concluded with a group photo session.
