Prepared under the leadership of our Dean’s Office with the contributions of the Departments of Anthropology and Archaeology as part of the 40th anniversary of Hattusa’s inclusion on the UNESCO World Heritage List, the exhibition titled “120 Years of Visual Memory of the Hattusa Excavations: 1906–2026” consists of 60 photographs selected from the archives of the German Archaeological Institute in Istanbul and the Boğazköy–Hattusa excavation directorate. These photographs were taken to document the cultural heritage uncovered during the excavations that began in 1906.
The exhibition presents a 120-year journey of archaeological work while also highlighting the significant contributions of archaeology to the cultural memory of Çorum.
Our exhibition will be open to the public, university students, student clubs, and all schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education for four days.
