“Youth and Sports Panel” Held at Our Faculty

At our faculty, under the auspices of the Dean’s Office and in collaboration with our student clubs, a “Youth and Sports Panel” was organized within the scope of the May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day. In line with the meaning and significance of the occasion, the panel featured our students as panelists.

The program began with a moment of silence and the singing of the Turkish National Anthem, followed by the opening remarks of the Dean of our Faculty, Prof. Dr. Zekeriya Işık.

During the program, Associate Professor Hatice Yıldırım from the Department of History served as moderator, while History Department students Çağlar Serin and Yusuf Samet Çiçek delivered presentations on the development of sports in Çorum. The panel included evaluations concerning the historical development of sports culture in Çorum. Following the panel, History Department student Yunus Emre Güneş recited Arif Nihat Asya’s poem Bayrak (“The Flag”).

The Dean of our Faculty, Prof. Dr. Zekeriya Işık, thanked the academics and students who contributed to the organization of the program and emphasized the importance of students taking active roles in scientific, social, and cultural activities.
