THE DEPARTMENT OF COACHING EDUCATION HELD ITS SECOND ANNUAL GRADUATE TALK

The “2nd Annual Alumni Talk”, organised by the Department of Coaching Education at the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Hittite University, took place in Lecture Theatre A2 of the Faculty of Sports Sciences with the participation of our students.

During the event, our department graduates Ali Jassim, Gonca Demir and Abdurrahman Yüceler met with our students to share valuable insights regarding their career paths, industry experiences, situations encountered in the workplace and professional development processes.

Ali Jassim and Abdurrahman Yüceler, managers of Train Hub Fitness Centre, shared insights into the fitness sector, entrepreneurship, gym management and coaching; whilst Gonca Demir, manager of Chakra Pilates and a Pilates and swimming coach, shared her experiences with our students regarding Pilates, swimming coaching and female entrepreneurship.

Throughout the discussion, our students had the opportunity to ask our speakers questions they were curious about, whilst our alumni offered advice to the students on career planning, communication skills, professional development within the sector, and shaping a professional vision.

It was noted that the alumni talks, which have become a tradition organised by the Coaching Education Department, make a significant contribution to strengthening the bond between students and alumni, and to helping students gain professional awareness by hearing about industry experiences directly from graduates.
