Media and Communication Program students received training on gimbal technologies
The training, organized within the scope of the courses “Photography, Camera and Lighting”, “Digital Editing”, “Graphic and Design”, and “Production and Management in Radio and Television”, introduced students to six different models of DJI, ZHIYUN, and phone holder gimbal systems commonly used in indoor and outdoor shooting. During the approximately 7-hour training, students received practical information on the working principles of gimbal equipment, stabilization adjustments, camera movement control, techniques for obtaining smooth images, and professional shooting processes.
Gimbal systems are equipment that reduces vibrations in camera or smartphone shooting, resulting in more stable and cinematic images. They are widely used in video production, advertising, social media content, and television work. As part of the training, students gained advanced experience by personally using and disassembling equipment, preparing it for filming, through walk-through shots, tracking plans, dynamic camera angles, and various shooting scenarios.
In these practical applications, students gained field experience related to pre-shooting preparation, equipment setup, planning camera movements, and post-shooting editing processes. The event was also attended by the Head of the Media and Communication Program and course instructor, Lecturer Ali Aşır, and program lecturer, Lecturer Gökhan Şenyurt.
Through this hands-on training, students had the opportunity to become familiar with current technologies used in the media sector and to improve their professional skills. Hitit University's Media and Communication Program continues to prepare students for professional working conditions before graduation through training conducted with alumni and field experts who have sector experience.
