Media and Communication Students Conduct a Special Laylat al-Qadr Interview with Çorum Mayor Dr. Halil İbrahim Aşgın
Students of the Media and Communication Program at Hitit University conducted a special interview with Çorum Mayor Dr. Halil İbrahim Aşgın within the scope of the 2025 Ramadan Laylat al-Qadr Special Interview.
In the interview held in front of the Ulu Mosque, one of Çorum’s important spiritual sites, Mayor Aşgın made evaluations regarding the meaning and significance of Laylat al-Qadr, the contribution of the month of Ramadan to social solidarity, and the spiritual effects of this special night on people.
Within the scope of practical training activities, the interview provided Media and Communication Program students with the opportunity to develop their professional skills by experiencing the processes of preparation, question formation, field shooting, and interview techniques.
In the special content prepared by the students, the spiritual atmosphere of Laylat al-Qadr was reflected, while important messages from the perspective of local government were also included. Mayor Aşgın expressed his satisfaction at meeting with young communication students and wished them success in their work.
This work carried out by Hitit University Media and Communication Program students contributed to their gaining experience in field reporting and interview practices, and also served as an example of the university’s communication activities integrated with the city.
