Our Curriculum Was Evaluated in Line with Stakeholder Feedback
In our department, stakeholder feedback and evaluation meetings regarding the update of the Medical Promotion and Marketing Program curriculum have been completed within the scope of accreditation activities.
As part of the process, a meeting was first held with our current students, during which the course contents, practical components, semester distribution, contribution to professional competencies, and student expectations within the program were evaluated. Subsequently, an online meeting was held by our department academic staff, where student feedback, course information forms, program competencies, and the curriculum structure were discussed in detail within the scope of the accreditation process.
In the next stage, face-to-face meetings were held with our graduates and sector representatives, and written feedback was also obtained from them. In these views, the need for practical training, digital competencies, communication and persuasion skills, preparation for field practices, teamwork, professional representation skills, and graduate competencies aligned with sector expectations were particularly emphasized. The feedback received from graduates and sector representatives was considered an important source of data for the continuous improvement of the program and for ensuring that graduates are trained in line with sector expectations.
Finally, a face-to-face Department Board meeting was held with the participation of our department academic staff. In this meeting, the views of current students, graduates, and sector representatives were evaluated together, and decisions regarding the curriculum revision were made. As a result of the evaluations, it was decided to increase the practical component of the program, strengthen the connection between theoretical knowledge and professional practices, make arrangements to support students’ digital and social skills, and update the course information forms accordingly.
During the meetings, the curriculum was also discussed in terms of credits, ECTS, practical hours, and semester distribution. In addition, emphasis was placed on strengthening practical learning outcomes and integrating methods such as role play, debate, presentations, group work, portfolios, and rubric-based assessment into the relevant course processes.
In line with its quality assurance and continuous improvement approach, our department continues to improve its educational processes through feedback received from current students, graduates, and sector representatives.
