We Took Part in the Hitit TechFest Science and Technology Festival


02–04 October 2025, within the scope of TÜBİTAK 4007 Science Festivals Support Program, the Hitit TechFest: Çorum Science and Technology Festival was organized by the Çorum Provincial Directorate of National Education at the Çorum Chamber of Commerce and Industry Fairground. Throughout the festival, more than ten thousand visitors engaged with scientific activities and innovative technologies.

The festival appealed to a wide audience ranging from children to academics, featuring sky observations, experimental shows, virtual reality applications, and creative workshops. Held under the TÜBİTAK 4007 program, which aims to bring science closer to society and foster inquiry-based thinking and scientific curiosity, the event became the largest science and technology festival in the region.

510 Activities, 41 Workshops, 9 Scientific Talks

Under the auspices of the Çorum Governorship and in cooperation with the Çorum Municipality, Hitit University, the Çorum Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and various institutions:

  • Practical studies were carried out in 41 different workshops,

  • 510 scientific activities were conducted,

  • 9 scientific talks were held for teachers and students.

Workshops covered many fields including astronomy, physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, engineering, software, artificial intelligence, robotic coding, and environmental sciences.

At the festival, Dr. Ahmet Bolat from our department participated as a workshop leader. Our department students Mehlika Hatice Durnaoğlu and Ebru Uluçay actively served as guides throughout the festival.

The festival concluded with the presentation of participation certificates to faculty members, teachers, workshop leaders, and volunteers, followed by a group photo session.
