To train technical personnel in the field of construction technology who are equipped with fundamental knowledge and skills, knowledgeable about building materials, manufacturing techniques and application areas, capable of using computer-aided design and drawing programmes, skilled in project drawing and reading, able to perform basic static and strength calculations, capable of undertaking tasks in the manufacturing and control stages of structures, and aware of occupational health and safety.
