A disaster awareness training was organized for the staff of the Scientific and Technical Application and Research Center (HÜBTUAM), the Machinery and Manufacturing Technologies Application and Research Center (MİTAM), the Technology Transfer Office Coordination (TTO), and the Project Coordination and Guidance Office Coordination, all operating within the Hitit University Technology Center, as part of the "International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction."

The training, held on October 13th, was given by Chief Veysel Maden and Chief Ayşe Güvenbaş (Training Specialist) from the Çorum Provincial Disaster and Emergency Management Directorate. The training covered precautions to be taken before, during, and after disasters such as earthquakes, floods, fires, landslides, and avalanches. Basic behavioral and preparedness skills regarding risk reduction, evacuation processes, preparing a disaster kit, and creating a family disaster plan were also shared with the participants.

The training, which aimed to increase awareness and preparedness levels against disasters, contributed to making the institution's personnel better equipped to face potential risks.

We would like to thank Chief Veysel Maden and Chief Ayşe Güvenbaş of the Çorum Provincial Disaster and Emergency Management Directorate, and Dr. Assoc. Prof. Melda Bolat, Occupational Safety and Health Specialist at the Technology Center, for their interest and support in conducting the training.
