Associate Professor Dr. Taner Alıç Visits TTO: Innovative Ideas and Patent Potentials in Orthopedics Discussed
Associate Professor Dr. Taner Alıç, a faculty member of the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology at Hitit University Faculty of Medicine, visited the University's Technology Transfer Office (TTO). During the visit, current practices in orthopedics, surgical experiences, and how these experiences can be transformed into new technological developments, inventions, and patent applications were discussed.
Information was provided about the activities carried out by the TTO team. Burcu Kabakdere, Deputy Director of the TTO and Head of Intellectual Property Rights, shared detailed information about the commercialization processes of inventions and the stages of patent applications.
Based on his observations from his extensive surgical practice and clinical experience, Associate Professor Dr. Alıç shared his valuable insights on developing innovative ideas in the field of orthopedics with the TTO team. During the meeting, it was decided to collaborate in combining these ideas with our university's research and development capacity to create new technologies and patents.
TTO officials stated that these studies, to be conducted in a medical field with high innovation and invention potential such as orthopedics and traumatology, will significantly contribute to our university's R&D activities in the field of health technologies.
