Hitit University Technology Transfer Office Inc. Empowers Women Entrepreneurs! Within the scope of the "Women's Cultural Center and Women's Handicrafts Market: Empowerment Project with Training, Sales, and Consulting Services," implemented in collaboration with Çorum Municipality and the Central Black Sea Development Agency (OKA), significant training activities were carried out.
The project, aiming to increase the knowledge and skills of women entrepreneurs, organized certified training sessions lasting a total of four weeks in February and April. The trainings covered three main topics: Financial Literacy, Traditional Marketing and Online Sales Techniques, and Business Plan Preparation and Business Establishment Processes. These trainings were led by Prof. Dr. Ufuk Gergerlioğlu from Hitit University, with expertise from Dr. Yasemin Demir and Dr. Leyla Bezgin Ediş.
The trainings, primarily targeting women who produce or wish to produce handmade products, provided participants with detailed information on budgeting, sales channels, e-commerce opportunities, and entrepreneurship. As a result of the program, a total of 51 women entrepreneurs received certificates. With the support of Hitit University Technology Transfer Office Inc., women in the region were provided with access not only to theoretical knowledge but also to practical and application-oriented training, contributing to their economic and social development. At the end of the trainings, the Women's Handicrafts Market, implemented by Çorum Municipality, was also introduced, and women were informed about concrete sales areas where they could market their products. Thanks to these trainings, women participants will have the opportunity to reach wider audiences with their handmade products, contributing to both their family economies and regional development.
Hitit University Technology Transfer Office Inc. will continue to support regional development and women's entrepreneurship by blending university-industry collaboration with social responsibility projects.
