Technical Visit to the Sugar Factory

Students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Hitit University participated in a technical visit to the Safi Çorum Sugar Factory (Safi Çorum Şeker A.Ş.) on October 15, 2024, as part of the “Introduction to Mechanical Engineering” course coordinated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Emir Avcıoğlu. The visit was organized by the department’s Promotion Committee under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özgür Özdilli.

During the visit, students had the opportunity to observe firsthand the entire production process, including the reception and processing of sugar beets, the stages of sugar production, and the packaging operations.
