The Department of Sports Management aims to educate sports managers who possess effective management skills, strong communication abilities, advanced organizational and leadership qualities, an openness to innovative thinking, and a strong commitment to ethical values in sports institutions and organizations. The program offers both theoretical and practical courses in key areas such as sports management, sports economics, sports law, and sports marketing.
Throughout the educational process, the goal is to develop individuals who embrace contemporary management approaches and have analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. The program seeks to train managers capable of understanding the social, economic, and cultural dimensions of sports and performing professionally in both the public and private sectors.
Students who successfully complete the 4-year undergraduate program in Sports Management are awarded a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management. Graduates may pursue careers as managers in sports clubs, federations, municipalities, public institutions, and private sector sports organizations. In addition, those who meet the necessary requirements are eligible to undertake a Double Major Program (DMP) in the Departments of Coaching Education, Recreation, or Physical Education and Sports Teaching. To graduate, students must successfully complete all courses in the program (equivalent to a total of 162 ECTS credits) and achieve a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.00 on a 4.00 scale. Students who meet these criteria are granted the Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management.
Graduates of the Sports Management program can pursue careers as managers, coordinators, or specialists in the central and regional organizations of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, as well as in sports federations, municipal sports departments, sports clubs, event management companies, and private sports enterprises.
