A delegation from the Department of International Relations at Hitit University visited Dr. Halil İbrahim Aşgın, the Mayor of Çorum, in his office. During the meeting, strategic partnerships that could be developed between the department and the municipality, along with projects aimed at students, were discussed.
Institutional Strengthening: Within the scope of continuous improvement policies and strengthening relations with external stakeholders, the department conducted this visit to exchange ideas on reflecting academic knowledge onto the city and integrating local government vision into the educational process.
Support for International Students: A key agenda item was the status of international students. Following consultations with Mayor Aşgın, a consensus was reached on providing Turkish language education support and organizing cultural activities at municipal facilities to accelerate students' social integration.
Career Development: Steps to support the career planning of International Relations students were also addressed. Plans were made to help students establish relationships with the private sector and gain familiarity with the business world.
