Hitit IR Student Conference Held as Part of the Seminar Course

The first “Hitit IR Student Conference”, organized in cooperation with our Department and the International Relations Club, was successfully held.

The conference was conducted under the supervision of our faculty members Dr. Vildan Meydan and Dr. Kübra Mertek Mohamed. During the event, students delivered presentations on a wide range of topics related to the discipline of international relations. The presentations addressed current and significant issues such as inequalities in global governance, power competition in the Arctic, the diffusion of international norms in Africa, and climate migration.

Throughout the event, students not only presented their academic work but also responded to questions from the audience, thereby experiencing the essential components of an academic conference. Coffee breaks also provided students with an opportunity to socialize and engage in productive academic discussions.

The first Hitit IR Student Conference was considered an important event in terms of contributing to students’ academic development and strengthening their presentation skills.
