Our department was established in 2012 within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Hitit University. There are three main branches within the department: International Politics, Political History, and International Law. The language of instruction is English, and the duration of education consists of a Preparatory Class plus four years. Our English program began admitting students in the 2020–2021 academic year. As of May 2024, the department’s academic staff includes 4 Associate Professors, 2 Assistant Professors, 2 Lecturers (with PhDs), and 4 Research Assistants.

As the Department of International Relations at Hitit University, we aim to provide the appropriate environment and infrastructure for our students to acquire the academic and professional competencies required by the modern understanding of international relations. In addition to foundational education in core subject areas such as global politics, foreign policy, regional studies, international law, political history, and international relations theories, we also offer specialized topics through which students may develop expertise. Through courses that reflect the special research interests of our academic staff—such as security, intelligence, nationalism, conflict resolution, energy policies, and private international law—we plan to incorporate various dimensions of international relations into the educational process.
