General Information

History

The Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department was established on March 7, 2012, by a decision taken at the General Assembly Meeting of the Council of Higher Education, affiliated with the Faculty of Engineering at Hitit University. Student enrollment in our department began in the 2017-2018 Academic Year.

Academic Staff

Our department has 1 Professor, 4 Associate Professors, 3 Assistant Professors, and 2 Research Assistants. We have Research Assistants working in various universities under Article 35. Sub-Disciplines (Major Fields of Study)

The sub-disciplines in our department are:

  • Circuits and Systems

  • Electronics

  • Electrical Machines

  • Telecommunications

  • Electrical Installations

  • Control and Command Systems

  • Electromagnetic Fields and Microwave Technique

Although a short time has passed since our establishment as the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department, both our academic staff and technical infrastructure are constantly being improved. Approximately 200 undergraduate students continue their education in the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department, which started accepting students in the 2017-2018 Academic Year.

Facilities

The laboratories available in the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department are:

  • Circuit Analysis Laboratory

  • Electronic Circuits Laboratory

  • Digital Circuit Design Laboratory

  • Communication Laboratory

  • Control Laboratory

  • PLC Laboratory

  • Electrical Machines Laboratory

In addition to these, our students also benefit from the computer laboratory belonging to the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Engineering and the Idea Workshop (Fikir Atölyesi) within HÜBTUAM. Our laboratories used for undergraduate education have a sufficient number of well-equipped training sets to develop our students' practical skills. Furthermore, to enable our students to perform experiments more comfortably and achieve maximum efficiency, lab courses are conducted by dividing students into groups, with one experiment set allocated per student.
