Industrial Engineering department was examined at the Higher Education General Assembly meeting dated 10/03/2006 and was established within the Faculty of Engineering of Hitit University with the law enacted in 2006 pursuant to Article 7/d-2 of the Law No. 2547 amended by the Law No. 2880. For the first time in the 2019-2020 academic year, it started to accept students with 40 quotas.
Industrial Engineering undergraduate program, labor force, capital, etc. in organizations. It is aimed to develop the necessary knowledge and skills on solving problems in systems with scarce resources. The program is concerned with the design, planning, installation, improvement and control of systems in organizations.
The curriculum is planned regularly, taking into account scientific developments and the needs of the country's industry. In general, the program is designed to provide a comprehensive education in order to provide efficiency and productivity in information systems as well as manufacturing and service systems.
In most of the courses, HITU Industrial Engineering Department supports students to develop themselves in applications and use of new information technologies, intertwined with the industry.
