Hitit University Department of Physics was established in 2007 and admitted its first undergraduate students in the 2008–2009 academic year. The department awarded its first bachelor’s degrees in June 2012.
The department currently employs five faculty members, including two professors and three associate professors, who actively engage in teaching, scientific research, and academic supervision. Research activities are primarily conducted in the fields of Solid State Physics and Mathematical Physics.
In addition to the five student laboratories available for undergraduate education, the department also hosts a Solid State Physics Research Laboratory to support the research activities of graduate students.
