The Department of Chemical Engineering provides education with its competent academic staff and well-equipped laboratories. Our department, which integrates theory with practice, aims to develop students' analytical thinking, synthesis, and management skills. For this reason, our department is to train competitive, creative and innovative chemical engineers who follow the developments in science and technology and try to meet the needs of the society by taking cultural, social, and financial values into account. It caters to large industries such as chemical engineering, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, food, polymers, paints, glass, alternative energy, fertilizers, defense, cosmetics, and textiles.
Our department enables students to deepen in the field of chemical engineering with master's and doctoral programs and encourages university-industry cooperation to contribute to local and national development. Students are motivated to participate in national and international competitions with their own projects. In addition, our students are offered the opportunity to continue their education and training activities in a higher education institution other than their own institutions with Erasmus, Farabi, and Mevlana Exchange programs.
Our aim is to train our students to become competent chemical engineers who can easily adapt to positions of high responsibility in research centers, chemical industries, and educational institutions. Our graduates gain the competence to work both in laboratory-scale studies and in large-scale environments such as industrial plants, factories, refineries, and distilleries.
Our department; A total of 9 Professors, 7 Associate Professors, 1 Assistant Professor, 1 Lecturer, and 1 Research Assistant work in the fields of "Basic Operations and Thermodynamics", "Process and Reactor Design" and "Chemical Technologies". Each member of our department aims to help our students develop both professionally and personally. Our students are encouraged to become more entrepreneurial and learn to apply academic knowledge to the benefit of our society.
There are 13 fully equipped research laboratories serving the Chemical Engineering Department. In addition, Hitit University Scientific-Technical Application and Research Center (HUBTUAM) provides laboratory facilities with advanced tools necessary for research studies. For this purpose, it provides service with its 14 fully equipped laboratories with Spectroscopic Analysis, Chromatographic Analysis, Food Analysis, Biological Analysis, Polymer Analysis, Catalytic and Surface Analysis, Mechanical Tests, and Sample Preparation devices, as well as Particle Image Velocity Measurement and Scanning Electron Microscope.
Hitit University Chemical Engineering Department is waiting for new students with its deep-rooted history, transparent management approach, qualified faculty members, and up-to-date research infrastructure.
