Accreditation Processes Evaluated at Osmancık Ömer Derindere Vocational School


On Wednesday, July 2, 2025, a critical evaluation meeting on accreditation processes was held at Osmancık Ömer Derindere Vocational School. The meeting, chaired by Director Dr. Mehmet Nurullah Alkan, was attended by vice directors, department heads, and representatives of relevant academic units.

During the meeting, a comprehensive evaluation of the 2024–2025 academic year was conducted, and strategies for the upcoming term were discussed in line with quality improvement objectives. To align associate degree education regulations with current practices, the relevant articles of the Regulation on Associate and Undergraduate Education and Training were examined in technical detail.

As part of promoting innovative approaches in education, participants reviewed alternative assessment and evaluation methods used in courses and agreed to continue diversifying them in accordance with accreditation standards. Additionally, the systematic collection of feedback from students and faculty members was discussed as a means to support process improvements.

To strengthen collaboration with external stakeholders, plans were made to diversify communication channels with industry representatives and alumni. In addition, integrating new elective courses into the curriculum was discussed to ensure the programs remain up-to-date. The preparation schedule and related activities for the Self-Evaluation Reports, which will form the foundation of the accreditation application process, were also reviewed with the participants.
